I'm not sure what I want to use for the new tiles I'm making...
I'm actually a little sick of Pokemon stuff. That pixel style doesn't seem to suit me like I like... So, I'm making up my own tiles with my own rules and story and style.
I tried making an RPG a long time, that involved one human character (played by you) and a dragon character to accompany you (also played by you). You would kind of switch between the characters like you do in Persona, or even more like that Nintendo DS game, Sonic: Dark Brotherhood (I've played that, and, it sucks big hairy moose balls XP).
I vaguely remember the plot being about these evil sprites that were taking over this particular fantasy world, and the humans in this world are using the dragons to help ward off the sprites. I eventually abandoned this and it's sort of how the larger plot of my fanfiction "Sky" came about.
So, here is what I am thinking of doing... Instead of wasting brain power on making a whole new story, because this is not a super serious project, what if I were to put the basic plot of Sky, into this fantasy world game I'm thinking up? Here's how it would go:
Main Character: The one binded with Seria, given your name of choice (Not Mike from the fanfiction).
Ally: Healer, either given your name by choice in multiplayer, or in single player will use a default name and follow you around and act on CPU discretion. (Not Rob from the fanfiction)
Melly: Your ally, one of the leaders/govenernors of the world. Controls the positivity, grows new plants, makes new animals. All knowing and all seeing. Can transport humans from Earth to this world.
Seria: The one who's soul you are binded with. Her murder is what starts the plot. She is neutral, and will control weather, natural disasters, can hear the conditions of the world, and it not allowed to fight. (Main character does get permission to use Seria's abilities as weapons).
Archayo: The villain. Is meant to control the negativity in the world. Has mind reading and mind control abilities. Turns the dead into "zombies", better known as "Dark Animals". Decides to allow himself to be overrun by his own negativity, and is responsible for Seria's death.
Wolf: No actual name. Ally to you. Has strong intuition for finding people and lost items, as well as important places.
Arake: Strong ally. Dragon, who will kill anyone who tries to harm you. Sees you as adopted child. Also Seria's niece, and later, Chi's mate.
Chi: Strong ally to the Healer only. Very immature, violent, and possessive. Sees Healer as a brother. Does not care about your well being.
Koo: Somewhat of an ally. Archayo's wife. Very naive, foolish, and easily gets into trouble. Has slight crush on the Healer (regardless of whether healer is played as male or female).
Iba: Koo's protector. This dragon watches over her to keep like out of trouble, like a babysitter.
Creatures:
Priests- Archayo's and Koo's species. Strong, agile, swift, and relatively smart. Carry spears as weapons.
Dark Animals- Creatures which have died and been ressurected by Archayo. Dark animals are made of ash, or dirt, or a combination of the two. They can act on their own, but must do what Archayo asks of them. Most wolves are dark animals, although the Wolf ally is not. The majority of dark animal species include Priests, Walkers, and spiders.
Walkers- These creatures are rare but dangerous. They have bipolar behaviors, and like to examine their prey before they kill it. Not very muscular, but their extra long legs make them fast runners. A human is no match for a walker in strength, but these animals are driven by rage, and easy to outsmart. (Read chapter 3 of Sky on LPfiction.com to get a sense of what these things are like. I go by author name "A.N.")
Dragons- Are actually snakes, but gigantic like dragons. Venomous, fire breathing, weather resistant, strong, and fast. Some can speak, others cannot. Possessive and protective of friends and family. Females are usually affectionate, while males are overly-emotional and violent.
Drones- A powerful ally to Archayo, and part of plot twist. That's all I'm going to say.
